Fliegl produces energy-saving feeding systems for biogas plants
The economically viable generation of electricity and heat is often a highly complex challenge for biogas plant operators. The feeding system plays an integral part in this. Fliegl Agrartechnik GmbH feeding systems, developed by its biogas division, operate extremely profitably and have been installed in approximately 700 biogas plants to date.
In field studies conducted by the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences as part of teaching in the field of agricultural and systems engineering, Fliegl feeding systems achieved the best results when assessed regarding their electrical energy consumption. All Fliegl feeding systems consume less than 1.0 kWh of energy per tonne of substrate. The Rondomat system, for example, needs only 0.413 kWh/t.
Compared to other tested systems, the effective profit from savings on electricity alone is approximately 4,000 euros for a 500-kW biogas plant which processes around 15,000 t of substrate per year. High energy savings are predominantly owed to the energy-saving design and the special feeding and control technology used.
