EISENMANN dry fermentation plants for biological waste

Composting biological waste may lead to a high degree of odour nuisance and high operational costs. Using an EISENMANN biological waste fermentation system for composting will increase throughput, reduce odour emissions and tap previously unused energy sources, thereby considerably improving profitability.

Process

Shredded and sifted biological waste is fed into the fermenter via a screw-type feeding system. The biological waste is fermented thermophilically at 55°C. Fermenters with horizontal agitator shafts can be manufactured from steel or even concrete depending on the size, location or personal preference of the client. This technology can produce plants which can process maximum dry matter content. Naturally, this process is also suited for renewable raw materials, other waste products, roadside vegetation, organic waste from airports or a combination of all of these. Thus the plants can be tailored exactly to your substrates.

Advantages of EISENMANN dry fermentation

  • continuous operation with constant CHP utilisation even at low throughput rates
  • high degree of automation with low requirements regarding personnel and machines
  • high specific gas yield
  • low energy demand
